Western Power Distribution is responsible for delivering electricity to 2.5m customers in South West England and South Wales. With highly trained and locally based engineering staff spread right across the regions, the company has skills, expertise and experience in all aspects of High Voltage and Low Voltage work.
Western Power Distribution is recognised as a leader in Power Distribution for both quality and customer service. With over 1,700 directly employed field staff, we can respond to your needs quickly and efficiently. Our staff are highly trained and authorised for work on systems up to 132kV. We are able to provide a comprehensive 24-hour emergency service covering operations, fault location and repair services.
Our operations comply with all current legislation and all activities are carried out with Health and Safety given paramount importance. We are happy to provide copies of Health and Safety Method statements and Risk Assessments covering all our activities. We also carry out our work with due regard to the environment and are able to provide COSHH statements and assessments for all of the materials that we use.
| WPD has achieved BS EN ISO OHSAS 18001:1999 certification. This demonstrates our commitment to the health, safety and the welfare of all of our staff and sub-contractors. We are members of safety groups such as ROSPA. Staff are regularly updated through meetings and bulletins on the latest news and safety legislation. We operate to high quality and safety standards and have an excellent safety record. |
